NS Optimum buys Pars Technology

NS Optimum, a leading independent education ICT solutions provider, has purchased the trade and assets of Pars Technology from administrators Rendle & Co for an undisclosed sum.

This acquisition follows NS Optimum’s recent management buyout in a deal backed by boutique private equity firm Pemberton Capital.  As part of this deal, two new executives, Simon Hersh and Mel Crabb, joined the incumbent management team of Andy Rutley and Tim Guy with a view to pursuing a strategy of strengthening the business’s already robust position in the education ICT sector and pursuing select acquisition opportunities.  The acquisition of Pars Technology is the first example of management’s execution of that strategy. Management anticipates that there will be a number of similar purchases which will further expand its business and position in the market.

NS Optimum Managing Director, Andrew Rutley, said, “This acquisition is great news for NS Optimum and for Pars customers.  Pars has a great brand and a loyal customer base which we can provide with an excellent service.  With over 20 years experience in the IT sector we are in an excellent position to provide Pars customers with continuity of support and expand the services we can offer them.”

NS Optimum is offering to provide ongoing warranty support provided certain criteria is met and will be contacting all Pars customers who have ongoing warranty contracts to discuss this individually.  Any Pars customers who wish to contact NS Optimum directly are advised to call 01926 880300 if they have any immediate queries.  Andy Rutley confirmed that “NS Optimum has a commitment to UK education customers and does not want to see any school or college left in a support vacuum.  We will do everything possible to help Pars customers to this end and look forward to creating a partnership with all involved.”
